EMERGED from the Cocoon

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam and for a brief moment it's glory and beauty belong to our world. But then it flies on again and though we wish it could have stayed, we feel lucky to have seen it.

About Me

My photo
Jessica
Baltimore, MD, United States
I first started this blog to express my grief after the loss of my daughter, Caroline, who was born still on October 23, 2007. I thought it was simply a place I could 'go' to get my feelings out. It has become so much more. I have found mothers who are just like me, whose words lifted me up when I needed it most. If it wasn't for them, I am not sure I would have had hope to try again. My son, Brooks, was born on April 6th, 2009 and I am now using this blog to share our life with him. I changed the title of my blog from "Emerging from the Cocoon" to "Emerged from the Cocoon" after his birth. If you came across this blog because you have experienced a loss and/or need any resources as you are greiving, please feel free to contact me.
